How to Free Up Memory in Blackberry

Blackberrys like any other gadget uses memory for its operations but a Blackberry has a unique feature called Low Memory Management which will automatically erase data such as browser cache memory, old emails when your memory is full so you will still receive your message or email.
 
 
Therefore you must manage your memory by freeing up some space in your blackberry :
1. These are some things to do to free up some space on your BlackBerry:
2. Delete Pictures: Deleting pictures is a logical thing to do to free up some space , a 3,2 megapixel picture will make a around 2 mb of picture. Manage your pictures by moving them to your laptop.
 
3. Make Use of the Lookup Feature: Instead of keeping a large address book, just use the lookup feature.
4. Delete the Unused Language Packs: Delete any unused language packs installed on your BlackBerry from the Application Options screen.
 
5. Set Keep Appointments to 15 Days: It's unlikely that you'll need old appointments on your BlackBerry, Go to Calendar Options and set Keep Appointments = 15 Days.
6. Enable Content Compression: Go to Options --> Security and enabled Content Compression.
 
7. Delete the Help Application: For more experienced users who don't use the help feature, go to Options --> Applications, select Help and delete it.
8. Delete BrickBreaker and other games: If you've had your fill of this game, delete it. Delete other games and unwanted applications too.

Fast Deleting Techniques in Blackberry

There are several techniques in deleting messages in blackberry. The easiest way is the usual delete message by choosing the file then pressing the delete button.
 
Deleting from a selected selection of messages or emails by 'title name' or from person.
You can do it by :
1. Perform a message search by a certain search field
2. Then press 'Delete Prior'
All the files will be deleted prior to that date. But Note however, that this does not remove the messages from the Mail Client.

How To - Restore Your BlackBerry to Default Settings

You can restore your BlackBerry to the default settings, by performing a security wipe on the handheld.
The easiest way to wipe, is :  
1. Go to Options --> Security,
2. Click the track-wheel to bring up the menu, and
3. Select "Wipe Handheld".
The other method is by entering the password incorrectly 10 times (or whatever setting the IT Admin has set).
Drawbacks :
WARNING! You will not be able to send email, use the BlackBerry Browser until you have activated your handheld again, either by connecting to the Desktop Manager, or performing Enterprise Activation.
